National center of genetic resources of the Academy of agricultural sciences of Tajikistan

By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 29, 2006, No. 791, the State Scientific Institution "Republican National Center for Genetic Resources" of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan was established.

According to the decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan dated February 9, 2007, No. 12a, the State Scientific Institution "Republican National Center for Genetic Resources" of the AAST was established on the basis of the Laboratory for the Conservation of Genetic Resources of Agricultural Plants of the Research Institute of Crop Production and the Department of Genetic Resources of Fruit, Vegetable, and Grapevine Crops of the Research Institute of Horticulture of the AAST.

The Center operates in accordance with its Charter, approved by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan on June 30, 2008, No. 001-37-4A. Due to amendments and additions to the Charter of the Academy, the Charter of the Center was revised and approved by the President of the Academy on June 4, 2018.

By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated August 31, 2020, No. 487 "On amendments to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated May 2, 2008, No. 215", the institution was renamed as the State Scientific Institution "National Center for Genetic Resources" and was included in the list of research institutions of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
