ARCHIVE (BOYGONӢ) – an independent institution or a structural unit of a government body (organization, institution, enterprise) that collects and preserves documents included in the National Archival Fund, as well as documents accumulated as a result of the activities of government bodies (organizations, institutions, enterprises) and individuals. It organizes a scientific and informational system for the registration and use of documents, ensuring their further utilization for the current needs of the state and society.
The history of our national archives dates back to the 1st millennium BC. Historical artifacts have been discovered that contain written records about the states of Parthia, Khwarezm, Sogdiana, and the Samanid state. Ibn Sina provided valuable information about the archives of the state library of the Samanids. From the 8th to the 10th centuries, along with state archives, private archives also emerged, such as the Archive of Dewashtich and others.
