Apple Pay Officially Launched in the Republic of Tajikistan
On 28 July 2026, the official launch ceremony of Apple Pay in the Republic of Tajikistan was held at IT Park Dushanbe at the initiative of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the National Bank of Tajikistan.

The event brought together representatives of Apple Inc., government authorities, the banking sector, international payment systems, and technology companies.

During the ceremony, the first official Apple Pay transaction in the Republic of Tajikistan was completed. The transaction was made by Apple Inc.’s representative for government affairs and public policy in Central Asia and Armenia at the EVAR supermarket chain, which became the first merchant in the country to accept Apple Pay.

At the initial stage, Apple Pay is available through Alif Bank and Humo Bank, enabling their customers to add eligible bank cards to Apple Wallet and make secure, contactless payments using iPhone, Apple Watch, and other supported Apple devices.

The launch of Apple Pay marks an important milestone in advancing the country’s digitalization agenda and creates favorable conditions for the development of cashless payments, digital financial services, and Tajikistan’s further integration into the global digital technology ecosystem.
