The Forest Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) is the central executive authority of the Republic of Tajikistan, whose main tasks include the development and implementation of a unified state policy, regulation of legal norms, and management in the field of forestry, forest resources, hunting and hunting management, flora and fauna of specially protected natural areas, as well as the implementation of economic activities within organizations of its system and ensuring state control.
The Agency includes:
The State Institution of the Scientific Research Institute of Forestry, which conducts activities in the field of scientific support for the sector;
The State Forest and Hunting Inspection, which ensures state control over forest resources and hunting;
The State Institutions of Forestry, which carry out economic activities on the lands of the state forest fund;
The State Institution of Specially Protected Natural Areas, which manages the lands of specially protected natural areas.
The Agency carries out its activities based on the Constitution (Fundamental Law) of the Republic of Tajikistan, constitutional laws, laws, resolutions of the National Assembly and the Majlis of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions and orders of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal acts recognized by the Republic of Tajikistan, and this Regulation.
