Ministry of international Affairs of the republic of Tajikistan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan is the central executive body within the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, responsible for implementing state policy in the field of internal affairs and protecting the interests of the state, the rights, freedoms, and security of individuals and legal entities, as well as their property.

The Ministry is subordinated to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on matters within its competence, as established by the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and the legislative acts of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The main tasks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan are as follows:

Development of the general strategy of state policy in the area of activity assigned to it;
Proposals for the improvement of normative legal acts in the area defined by its competence;
Ensuring the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms within its authority;
Ensuring measures related to the regulation of labor migration within its authority;
Ensuring measures related to environmental and quarantine safety within its authority;
Organizing and implementing measures for the prevention, detection, suppression, disclosure, and investigation of crimes within its authority;
Prevention and elimination of administrative offenses;
Ensuring the protection of public order;
Ensuring fire safety;
Ensuring road safety;
Organizing and implementing state control over the circulation of weapons;
Organizing state protection of property and organizations in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan;
Managing the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the internal affairs bodies), internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the internal troops), and organizing their activities;
Ensuring activities to determine the status of refugees and asylum seekers (Resolution of April 29, 2009, No. 27).

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan carries out its activities based on the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, constitutional laws, and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, joint resolutions of the National Assembly (Majlisi Milli) and the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Majlisi Representatives) of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal acts recognized by the Republic of Tajikistan, and this Regulation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan carries out its activities directly and/or through units included in its structure and management plan, such as the Academy, Main Directorate, central bodies, departments, services, centers, and divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry's departments in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, the city of Dushanbe, the Rasht district, local units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in cities and districts, Ministry of Internal Affairs units in railway and air transport, the internal troops command and military units of internal troops, representations (representatives) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan abroad, and other organizations and units created in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan to implement the tasks assigned to the internal affairs bodies and internal troops.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan carries out its activities in cooperation with other state executive bodies, local self-government bodies, public organizations, and other institutions.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has a flag, which is approved by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
