Agency for Supervision in the Field of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

• The Agency for Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) is the central government authority responsible for implementing a unified state supervision policy in the field of education and science in the Republic of Tajikistan and operates under the authority of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

• In its activities, the Agency is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as international legal acts recognized by Tajikistan and this Regulation.

• To implement a unified state supervision policy in the field of education and science, the Agency exercises control over the enforcement of regulatory legal acts and state educational standards in educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, the activities of scientific organizations, the effectiveness of scientific and technical research, and the training of specialists and scientific personnel, regardless of their organizational and legal forms and departmental affiliation. Additionally, during the planning process, the Agency evaluates the organization of the educational process, the quality of knowledge of school students, university students, master's students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates, as well as the training of specialists and other activities of educational institutions.

• The Agency exercises state control in the field of education through licensing, comprehensive assessment of educational institutions and the sector, supervision of management bodies in the field, state attestation, and state accreditation of educational institutions in the field of science. This is carried out through licensing for scientific and pedagogical activities, assessment and attestation of scientific personnel and researchers and/or scientific and technical staff, evaluation of attestation of scientific personnel and/or senior scientific and technical staff, and monitoring compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of education and science.
