Committee on Food Safety under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan

1. The Food Safety Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is a central executive body of state power performing special executive, supervisory, licensing, and other functions established in the fields of veterinary medicine, phytosanitary and plant quarantine, plant protection, seed production, and livestock breeding.

2. The Committee carries out its activities based on the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal acts recognized by the Republic of Tajikistan, and this Regulation.

3. The Committee operates in cooperation with central executive bodies of state power, local executive bodies of state power, organizations, departments, public and international organizations.

4. The Committee is a legal entity, possessing a seal with the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Tajikistan and its name in the state language, seals, stamps, and forms of the established pattern, letterheads, and accounts opened in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
