Sughd Region

On the geographical map of the world, the Sughd region is provided to the northern regions of the Republic of Tajikistan. The mountain range mainly consists of mountains. In the north there are the Kuramsky (altitude 3769 m) and Mongolian (1624 m) mountain ranges, which are part of the Tien Shan. The southern direction borders on the Turkestan (5509 m), Zarafshan (5489 m) and Hissar ranges belonging to the Hissar-Alai mountain ranges. Between the Kramskoy and Turkestan ranges is the western part of the Ferghana Valley, through which the Syrdarya River flows. The Turkestan and Zeravshan ranges are separated by the Ferghana Valley. The Syrdarya rivers flowing into Isfara, Khojabakirgan, Oxu, etc. Also, Zeravshan with its tributaries Fandarya, Kstut, Magian, which contains snow glaciers, has a large supply of hydropower and is used for irrigation of lands.
