The Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is a central executive authority responsible for implementing state policy on the protection and ensuring the rights and interests of women and families, creating equal conditions for the realization of their rights and interests, achieving gender equality, expanding women's participation in solving socio-economic tasks, and in the management of state and public affairs.
The leadership of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is carried out by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In its activities, the Committee is guided by the Constitution (Fundamental Law) of the Republic of Tajikistan, constitutional laws and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal documents recognized by the Republic of Tajikistan, and its own regulations.
The Committee carries out its activities in cooperation with other central executive authorities, local executive bodies of state authority, public organizations, and others.
